Electronics Recycling Solutions Announces Achievement of Certification in the Responsible Recycling Practices for Electronics Recycling (R2) Standard.

Gallatin, TN -August 25, 2020 – Electronics Recycling Solutions, Gallatin, TN has joined an elite group of recyclers in Tennessee to achieve certification in the Responsible Recycling Practices for Electronics Recycling (R2) Standard. Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc. is the Certification Body issuing the certificate for ERS.

98% of ERS’ employees are diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum. They accomplished the rigorous tasks and processes required to attain certification within one-year of beginning the process of breaking down electronics in their Gallatin warehouse.

The R2 certification serves as recognition for our efforts to uphold stringent operational, environmental, and security standards.”

The standard requires certified companies to have a policy on managing used and end-of-life electronics equipment, components and materials based on strategies such as reuse, materials, and energy recovery and/or disposal. R2 requires strict accountability for environmental, health and safety practices to protect employees and the community. Certification also requires tracking and downstream accountability and prohibits e-waste from being mishandled or illegally exported. Facility security, mandatory employee background checks, and the highest industry standards for data destruction or sanitization of data sensitive devices is also included.

Certification was granted after successfully completing a rigorous independent audit of Electronics Recycling Solutions’ facility, processes and policies to verify conformance with the required standards.
